APPLICATION METHOD

Brush, foam roller or spray. We recommend natural bristled economy paintbrushes for use with all Stonelux Paints.

CLEANING

Washable once cured. Clean brushes with water.

PROPERTIES

Drying Time: 2-3 hours in normal conditions.

Composition:Water-based

Coverage: Up to 7.5 meters squared per 1 litre. Coverage can vary depending on colour, substrate & application method. We recommend using 1 Litre Fireplace Paint & 500ml Primer when painting an average size surround only. If painting a larger area, including the back panel and hearth, or equivalent, we recommend using 2.5 Litre Fireplace Paint & 1 Litre Primer.

VOC Content: LOV VOC CONTENT 0-0.29%. VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) contribute to atmospheric pollution. EU limit value for this product(CatA/c):40g/l(2010) This product contains max 6g/l VOC.

LIMITATIONS

Must be a minimum of 10cm away from the heat source. Do not apply in rain, temperatures below 10°C or above 30°C or if exposure to these conditions is likely during curing time.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Prepare all surfaces well. Ensure the surface is clean, sound and dry. Repair any damage with a suitable filler. Sand pre-painted and glossy surfaces. Apply at least one coat of Stonelux Primer & Undercoat in the recommended colour.

BRUSH/ROLLER APPLICATION

Stir well before use. Apply using an economy natural bristled brush or a foam roller. Apply a MINIMUM of 3 even coats. Avoid overspreading. Leave 2-3 hours drying time between coats. Do not over brush/roll. If brush marks remain, finish with stippling before final coat dries.

SPRAY APPLICATION

Stir well before use. Apply 2-3 full and even coats to the surface. Wet film thickness should be between 300 and 500µm. Do not over coat on corners or joints. Allow 2-3 hours drying time between coats. Various psi settings can be used for a light or heavy finish (approx. 60psi for a medium textured finish). Nozzle size: 1.8-2.5mm (gravity fed gun) or 2-5mm (texture gun). Paint can be diluted using no more than 20% water.

APPLICATION TIPS

Drying time can be reduced by circulating warm air around the painted surface

SIMPLY STONE™

SIMPLY STONE™ contains high-quality ground stone to create an authentic matt stone finish that compliments both traditional and contemporary designs. The uniform texture and colour provides a warm and inviting natural look that maintains all the class and character of traditional stonework.

STONE FLECKS™

The same beautiful textured finish as SIMPLY STONE™, but with additional stone flecks for a more naturally speckled appearance. STONE FLECKS™ creates a stone finish full of depth that will add immense character, warmth and authenticity to any project.

ANTIQUED STONE™

A classic stone finish that contains natural ground stone, combined with large stone flecks to create a simulated aged stone appearance. The prominence of the flecks provides the appearance of stonework that has been naturally altered by the passage of time, for a worn rustic feel with vintage charm.

SMOOTH STONE™

The least textured of our stone finishes acquires its elegant stone appearance from natural stone flecks. Creates a matt stone effect finish that is naturally lighter in texture, uniform in colour and has a soft appearance that is pleasing to both the eye and touch.
