- Preparation: Before starting your project, ensure the surface is clean, sound, and dry.
- Application:Mix well before use and agitate frequently during use. Apply using a brush (we recommend a 2" brush for most bricks and a smaller 0.5" brush for mortar joints. Additional coats can be applied immediately to achieve a darker shade (do not apply further coats once dry). A lighter finish can be produced by diluteing with water to maximum 50:50 ratio. Overlapping brush strokes can result in shade variations.
APPLICATION TIPS
- Test the colour on a discreet area before starting your project and allow to thoroughly dry
- Drain any excess tint from your brush before applying to the brick to keep drips to a minimum
- Tint bricks in a random pattern rather than a row, to avoid a light to dark effect across the row
- Keep some clean water to hand to quickly clean up any spills
The final colour of Brick Tint depends on the original substrate colour and its porosity. Colours displayed on screen may vary due to the limitations of digital representation and individual display settings. To ensure the most accurate representation and avoid disappointment, we recommend ordering sample pots. For more information visit our colour accuracy page.
AVAILABLE COLOURS
Colours displayed on screen will vary from colour of tint. The colour of the existing brickwork will affect the final colour. We strongly recommend testing a sample pot on an inconspicuous area of brickwork to ensure you are happy with the outcome. For more information visit our colour accuracy page.

Tinting below damp course
Good application, even colour , so far water / rain does not effect finish. Colour matching on red rustic was difficult, had to add Bostic red dye to brighten colour . Purchase of dark red Stonelux tended to appear brown.
Trial colours
The ease of using is very easy unfortunately we could not get a match to the bricks used
Brick Tint
Pretty good stuff. You need several colours to get the colors required. Works well, but they tend to lighter when dry almost as if there is a white film over them. Still does a good job and it's hard to see a repair.
Brick tints
Good but would like a more solid colour to add to existing colour. For example a yellow oxide or red oxide
Really happy with product and outcome
Recommend trying a few samples to see how the colours react on the brick. Some samples were slightly thicker than others so would bear that in mind that it might be a bit more diluted for final product. When testing id recommend putting on 2 coats We picked medium red and light beige and really happy with outcome. Relatively easy to dye the brick just took a long time.
Fantastic transforming brick product
"Stonelux Brick Tint transformed my customer's house, giving it a fresh, new look! This high-quality stone effect paint dramatically changes the appearance of surfaces, turning a dated look into a beautiful 'Border Oak' finish for a fraction of the cost and time. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their home's curb appeal. Stonelux and the staff are super helpful in all departments, Lynsey in the trade team especially. Thanks again.
Struggled to blend into newly restored brick. Needed to stipple as existing bricks are mottled. Used the orange brick composite, and the medium red and brown brick tint to tone down. Have persevered with a range of products and am overall very happy with your products.
Unbelievable
Bought the tint to try and match a garage to a recent house extension. Used the sample pots to get the best match. I am astonished with this product. I achieved an excellent match, easy to use and is absorbed quickly into the bricks.
